Build your career on solid ground.

At Green Stone you don’t spend years on one small task. You work the full project, from the first architectural drawing to the building on site, and you grow from there.

Why Green Stone

Not just a place to work. A place to grow.

Green Stone Structural is led by engineers who have worked in the U.S. and Canadian markets since 2014. We work on demanding projects, including mission-critical data centers, where every detail matters. Three things set us apart.

Career Path

A real, visible path. You run whole projects yourself, then lead a team, then own client accounts. That is what makes an engineer hard to replace.

02

Work-Life Balance

Two and a half days off every week, and help planning long weekends around public holidays. Some deadlines mean late nights, but that is the exception, not the way we live.

03

Rewarding Package

A package that rewards your work, so you don’t need a second job and can focus on your projects and your growth.

The first Egyptian engineering company to offer it
2.5days off
every week

Two and a half days off. By design.

This wasn’t a perk we added overnight. We studied how our team works, compared different schedules, and analyzed their effect on rest, focus and delivery. Two and a half days off every week came out as the best scenario, for our people and for our work.

Why we chose it

  • More time with familyEngineers have real time for the people who matter most, every single week.
  • A real work-life balanceEnough time to rest and recharge, so balance is part of the schedule, not a promise.
  • Better workRested engineers focus better and make fewer mistakes, which means better designs for our clients.
  • Long weekends around holidaysWe help you plan your time around public holidays, so you can take a proper break.

We think about the people who build Green Stone, because a team that lives well works well.

Phase 1 · The full project cycle

You see the project from start to finish.

In many firms an engineer spends eight or ten years doing only slab design, or only connections. Here, every engineer walks the whole process on their own projects.

Design

  1. Architectural packageYou receive the architectural drawings and understand the project.
  2. Structural systemYou choose the right structural system for the building.
  3. Structural designSoftware, spreadsheets or by hand. What matters is that you know what you are doing and why.
  4. Drawings & detailsSections, details and notes, checked against your design.

Review

  1. Calculation reportYou prepare the calculation report for your project.
  2. Internal reviewA senior engineer or project manager reviews it and gives you redlines.
  3. Client submittalThe project goes to the client, who submits it to the city or state for plan review.
  4. Plan reviewReviewed by a licensed PE, sometimes an SE. Comments come back to you, and you respond.

Construction

  1. ApprovalThe design is approved and the project goes to site.
  2. RFIsQuestions from site come to you, and you answer them.
  3. Shop drawingsYou review shop drawings and connect the design on paper to what is built.
  4. Your next projectEach cycle makes you faster and more independent.
Phases 2 & 3 · Growing

From engineer to leader.

After a solid number of projects, you start leading others. Later you own accounts and clients, where your value is hardest to replace.

Courses for our engineers

Structured courses that keep building our engineers’ technical and professional skills.

Learning on real projects

Every internal review, city comment and RFI is a lesson, with senior engineers guiding the way.

Questions

Good to know.

Is Green Stone a back office for a U.S. company?

No. Green Stone is an independent Egyptian company with its own clients in the United States, and you work the full engineering process directly.

Will I only work on one part of the design?

No. You take your project through the full cycle: structural system, design, drawings, calculation report, internal review, city comments, RFIs and shop drawings.

Who reviews my work?

First a senior engineer or project manager at Green Stone. Then, after submittal, licensed Professional Engineers (and sometimes Structural Engineers) at the city or state review agency. Their comments come back to you, so you learn from both.

How much time off do I get?

Two and a half days off every week. Around public holidays, we help you arrange your schedule so you can enjoy a long weekend.

Do you work late nights?

Sometimes, before a deadline. That is the exception, not the norm. Our goal is normal working hours at a healthy pace.
